Terms of use
The rules for accessing the MicroDuck app and presentation site, and what they mean for you and your robot.
Passages in [brackets] mark information to complete. This text is an editorial base to adapt to the actual situation; it is not a legal validation.
1. Purpose and access
MicroDuck is an iOS app that lets you connect a compatible Microduck robot over Bluetooth, check its status and send it commands. This site presents the app; it does not let you order the robot.
The app is available on the App Store.
2. Connection and requirements
To use the app, you need a compatible iPhone, Bluetooth turned on and a Microduck robot nearby. The robot is connected with a session code. After three failed attempts, the robot closes the session.
3. Responsible use and safety
The robot moves and performs actions. You remain responsible for it at all times:
- keep the robot in sight while it operates;
- clear a space, with no people or fragile objects nearby;
- follow the hardware manufacturer’s instructions;
- send no command if the environment poses a risk.
It is forbidden to try to bypass the app’s connection or security mechanisms.
4. Liability
To the extent permitted by law, Devside SRL cannot be held liable for damage resulting from improper use of the robot, a command sent unsupervised, an interruption of the Bluetooth connection or hardware incompatibility.
5. Intellectual property
The app, its design, texts and illustrations are protected. Rights and notices for the site are detailed in the legal notice.
6. Changes to these terms
These terms may change. The version published online prevails and its update date is shown at the top of the page. [Information procedure for users in case of a material change, to complete.]
7. Governing law and contact
These terms are governed by Belgian law. Subject to mandatory consumer protection rules, the courts of Brussels have sole jurisdiction in case of dispute.
